Power and data together
Power over Ethernet sends power down the same cable as the data. PoE++ (802.3bt) is the highest power class, used by pan-tilt-zoom cameras, high end access points, LED lighting controllers and video phones.
Why 24 AWG?
Thicker conductors lose less power as heat, which matters when a lead is carrying both data and a powered device.
